Farm Clean-up Day 2008 |

On a farm there is a lot of work to be done, especially in Summer. Each year, we invite friends and family to join us in the clean up and we make it a fun weekend event. This year we are planning for Sunday August 31. See details below |

Laura and Steph cleaning up the barn GLENIRE ACRES ‘FARM CLEANUP and PUPPY NAME’ DAY! SUNDAY 31st August, 2008 10AM to Dusk All friends of the Farm are invited to come and join us for the day to shovel out the sheep barn, spend a day in the country, play with the 19 Pyr puppies and help to name them! There may be some hay bales to stack too! ELT Lunch (duck egg, lettuce and tomato on a bagel) & BBQ Supper ( Lamb Burgers and Pot luck) Dogs that we are familiar with only please. As many of you know we have a puppy explosion!!!!!!!!! Litter #1 – Kylla x Lancelot – Our ‘O’ litter, born 26th July, 2 M, 3 F, “The Lickies” This was the only ‘as planned’ litter! Names thought of so far are:- Ollivander, Orca, Odysseus, Opal, Olaf, Olympe, Olive Wood, As you can see we are a bit stuck for this lot. We are trying to stick to names from Harry Potter or Lemony Snicket or things that link, like Orca for the darker marked male because Kylla is actually ‘Killer (Whale)’ as she was such a lump as a young puppy. Litter #2 – Jemma x China - Our ‘P’ litter, born 30th July, 2M, 4F, “The Waggies” This was planned to be sired by Lancelot but China did a ‘Fred’ and bred her just as we realised that she was in season! Names thought of so far are:- Penelope Clearwater, Petunia Dursley, Professor, Peter Petigrew, Padfoot, Prongs, Pansy Parkinson, Padma Patil, Parvati Patil, Pigwidgeon (except we had a duck called that), Philosopher’s Stone, Peeves, Potter, Patronus, Phineas Nigelus, Percival, Peverells, Penultimate Peril, Poppy Pomfrey, Litter #3 – Rista x China – Our ‘Q’ litter, born 7th August, 5M, 3F, “the Growlies” Absolutely, entirely 100%, China’s idea! Names thought of so far:- Quigley, Quagmire, Quirrel, Quincy, Quill, Quiddich. China is now in a lovely companion home! Bring Coolers if you want to take advantage of our meat specials.
